Is Bodega One AI Academy free?
Yes, all of it. Every course, guide, and how-to is free to read and finish, including the section quizzes, the final exams, and the completion certificate. There is no paywall, no premium tier, no trial that expires, and no credit card. The Academy is education, not a product we upsell you into.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. Nothing is gated behind a login, so you can open any course, guide, or how-to and start right away. Your course progress, meaning which sections you have passed, is saved locally in your own browser rather than on our servers, so it stays on your device without an account. Clearing your browser data resets it.
Do I need coding experience to start?
No. The first course, AI Foundations, starts from what a model even is and covers the vocabulary, how models produce answers, where they go wrong, and how people build with them, all in plain language with no code. From there the catalog steps up gradually through prompting, building with AI, running models locally, and shipping real software, so you can stop at the level that fits you.
Is the Academy biased toward one AI company or product?
No. The Academy is vendor-neutral. Lessons teach how AI works in general and weigh tools on their merits instead of pushing one provider, and for local models that often means open tools like Ollama and llama.cpp. Every factual claim in a guide links to a primary source you can check yourself. Bodega One makes its own software, but nothing in the Academy is written to funnel you toward it.
Do I get a certificate when I finish a course?
Yes. Each course ends with a final exam that draws on every section. Score 75 percent or higher and you earn a completion certificate with your name, the course title, and your score, which you can print or save as a PDF. The quizzes along the way are not busywork either: being tested on what you just read is one of the most reliable ways to remember it, which is why every section has one and retakes are unlimited.
Can I learn to run AI locally, on my own machine?
Yes, and it is one of the things the Academy goes deepest on. The How-tos section walks you through running a model on your own hardware step by step, starting with Ollama, so your prompts never leave your machine.
